Begin with the people on board

The first decision is not the length of the yacht. It is the experience the party wants. Discuss the balance between time under way and time at rest, the need for privacy, the ages and mobility of guests and the kind of dining everyone enjoys. Share those priorities with a verified charter professional before comparing options.

Read the arrangement, not only the image

Ask who is contracting with you, which vessel is being offered and which services are included in the quoted arrangement. Request clear details about crew, itinerary planning, meals, transfers and additional expenses. Have the provider explain the terms that apply to the booking. This article is a planning checklist, not legal advice or a substitute for reviewing the actual contract.

Build a flexible route

A route should follow the journey you want while remaining responsive to conditions and the skipper’s judgement. Do not demand a fixed sequence of anchorages regardless of weather. Fewer stops may create a more comfortable trip. Ask how the plan changes if a particular bay, harbour or restaurant cannot be used.

Think through the first and last day

Boarding and disembarkation deserve as much attention as the middle of the trip. Confirm the exact place, timing, luggage arrangements and any onward connection. Build in a reasonable margin. The calm of a journey can be lost surprisingly quickly if its beginning or ending is organised as an afterthought.

Know where the introduction ends

The Adriatic is an editorial publication. Our yachting gateway introduces Navira Yachts; it does not claim vessel ownership, live inventory or guaranteed charter availability. Verify the provider’s offer directly and ask every practical question that matters to your party. A considered introduction is useful only when it leads to a clear, accountable service.
