Pakleni Islands.
The luxury of less itinerary.

A day on the water, a sheltered bay and the freedom not to do everything.

A good day among islands is not measured by how many stops fit on the route. It is measured by how little the journey gets in the way. Approach the Pakleni Islands with a small plan, a responsible operator and enough flexibility to enjoy the place you reach.

Understand the names

The Pakleni Islands are the island group off Hvar. Palmižana is a particular area, not another name for every island. The Hvar Tourist Board describes Vinogradišće, often called Palmižana, as a bay reached by boat or on foot from the marina area. Use the precise meeting point and bay name when arranging a transfer or lunch; a little clarity before departure avoids a complicated return.

Choose a day, not a checklist

For a first visit, our recommendation is one principal bay and one meal rather than a sequence of brief landings. Discuss shelter and conditions with the skipper. Ask where swimming is suitable on that day, where the boat may stop and how much walking is involved. Do not plan around photographs that promise an empty beach: a popular summer destination is not a private one.

Lunch is part of the journey

Reserve directly with a confirmed venue or through your chosen service provider. Share your arrival method, party size and dietary requirements. Leave a realistic margin between lunch and the last transfer. A table near the water may be part of the appeal, but the practical essentials remain shade, drinking water, suitable footwear and an agreed way home.

Travel lightly

Carry out what you bring in. Keep noise down around other boats and visitors. Follow local instructions on landing, anchoring and swimming instead of assuming that a quiet-looking cove is unrestricted. This is a place to enjoy without trying to remake it into a private resort.
